Hurricane Hannah, now downgraded to a tropical storm, is lscheduled to hit the New England coast tonight with heavy rain and winds in the 49-50 MPH range.

It is expected to continue into the morning, giving way in the afternoon to showers and winds 15-29 MPH.

This, IMO, could pose a problem. Bad weather, IMO, has always been considered an equalizer, and more so, perhaps, in the Patriots case because they are considered a team that will rely mostly on the passing game.

The Pats are a more talented team than Kansas City, but this kind of bad weather is definitely going to favor the Chiefs. I hope the forecast is incorrect.

KC has a lot of rookie's and the first game may be tough on them. Esp here against the PATS.

I thought the movie lacked a good ending...seemed too abrupt and too fast. Either it should have been longer or the slow points before the ending could have been removed to fasten the pace. The TV edition of it should solve that problem but probably not by much...

The punting straight ahead caused BB to rip Hanson a new one but that may not entirely be his fault with weather playing a factor especially in New England. Part of it may have been guys like Chad Jackson and Antwain Spann not going all out on the punts especially when it comes to basic tackling , they may have solved that problem but it should be a problem all year...

Mike Reiss had some reassuring commentary about the situation yesterday that I missed...they are trying out guys as a way of reevaluating the talent pool for punters in case of injury or in case there are guys out there who are better for less money than what they are paying Hanson...

They apparently signed one of the punters to the practice squad so they may not have full confidence in Hanson, things could be interesting later on for them if Hanson falters in a major game or gives up an easy TD.

Yep, I think CJack fit perfectly into that classification of "Look like Tarzan, play like Jane". Probably all the more reason someone like Al Davis or Mike Brown down in Cincy will nab him and stick him on their roster.

Doesn't matter when the last time McDaniels called that kind of game he will have McDaniels as the reason they win or lose every game this year and on until he's gone.

If the Pats pick up a DB, they need a corner much more than a safety. At this point, there is not one bonafide, decent, starting CB on the roster.

Why would he be an issue in the first place since they've had him broadcasting their games since CBS got the AFC contract...he hasn't done anything before so why would he do it now?
